Access Services sure LOOKS promising.

Access Services sure LOOKS promising.. everything is stored in SQL (instead of in sharepoint lists)

I’ve always had big performance concerns with using SharePoint lists with larger datasets.

Like 1,000 is a lot of records in a sharepoint list… makes me sad to think that we had two machines each with 256 gb ram and 64 cpu cores.. for a moderate sized application.. I think that it’s perfectly acceptable to hope and wish that SharePoint lists could hold 100,000 records without skipping a beat.

Oh well.. they’ll get there on the next version of SQL Server with Hekaton will probably take care of that to say the least!?!?!

Now if I could just get the damn thing to setup and functional.. I really think that this might be a big piece of my offering as a DBA.
